MARCH- BYZANTINE EMBROIDERY
Here is Lyn's Photos for March I am amazed at how she is fitting the challenge work into such small spaces. My piece below finally finished the hem took so long specially finding a suitable thread to go with the fine count linen I used, I finally settled on DMC Flower Thread which I knew Jan had a full set of.

THE ITALIAN LOVE AFFAIR
Both Lynn and myself have finished our January pieces, the challenge was Assisi embroidery..
Lynn has a large piece of material that she has divided into squares and plans to fill a square each month, and she has given herself a real challenge finding a design that will fit into her small square
I am making mine as small 10cm square mats. the one is on 40 count linen and stitched over three fabric threads. I wanted to do the rolled hem that is used on this work..... a little more practice on the corners are needed

ANN'S WORKBOX
The Lid was stitched on 40 count Lambswool Permin Linen over two threads. I have many quaker patterns and have made my own design to fit the box lid.
I thought you may like to see the things i have put into my box. The accessories are mainly stitched on 40 or 35 count Permin some over one thread.
